Effective Practices

Effective Practices in Special Programs was a newsletter developed in response to the Special Education Review Recommendations #51-52 identified in Shaping the Future for Students with Special Needs (November 2000). Published from 2001 to 2004, each issue included a summary of current research on a topic and featured schools in Alberta that had developed and implemented effective practices.

Selected Issues

Although the newsletter is no longer published, many of the practices described are still relevant. Please be aware, however, that the specific programs described may no longer be in place, and contact information may have changed.
