Vancouver 2010 Olympic Feature Programs:   

Vancouver2010.com/edu is the Canadian School Portal for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Bilingual resources are available to help teachers find ways to connect students to the Games.

  • Sharing the Dream Webcast Series (March 25) – a student lead webcast series exploring youth issues related to culture, sustainability, sports & healthy living, Olympism, Paralympism and global citizenship. This session is entitled Passing the Torch of Global Citizenship Vancouver 2010 - London 2012 which will reflect on the Vancouver 2010 experience from an educational perspective, more specifically with regard to global citizenship.
  • Films for Change - Films for Change is a template aimed at secondary level students that provides a way to integrate National Film Board documentaries on environmental issues across a range of classroom contexts and subject areas.
  • Olympic Torch Relay School Kit - an educational resources to help students bring the excitement of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay to life in classrooms across the nation. These bilingual classroom activities link to learning outcomes in social studies, language arts, math, science and physical activity.
