Learning Coaches

Did you know that implementation of learning coaches is one key strategy to support an inclusive education system?

Learning coaches:  

  • use research to support their work
  • meet local needs and support diversity in classrooms
  • encourage classroom teachers in building new practices and creative solutions
  • are better able to meet the diverse needs of students by assisting teachers
  • advocate for students and teachers

Did you know that learning coaches are teachers who are knowledgeable about inclusive practice and the Programs of Study?

They are skilled at:

  • collaboration
  • building relationships
  • sharing of promising practices
  • facilitating job-embedded and ongoing professional development for teachers
