Alberta’s approach to collaborative practices based on wraparound principles
Alberta Education is committed to developing and supporting a seamless, province-wide approach to collaborative practices based on wraparound principles. The approach focuses on helping schools, authorities and their partners understand how they coordinate and access supports and services that address the needs of vulnerable students and their families within the context of the school and community.
Alberta’s approach to collaborative practices is guided by 11 principles that will help school jurisdictions and school leaders gain understanding in how to build a culture that supports collaboration.
This work is being supported through the development of a number of pieces including a video series, conversation guide, general information booklet, self-reflective tool and workbook.
