Students from Palliser Regional Schools gathered in Vulcan to ask Canadian astronaut Dr. Robert Thirsk a series of science and technology-related questions in real time at a special downlink event with the International Space Station.

Provincial conversation focuses on the future of education
Albertans will continue to have an opportunity to shape the future of education in Alberta through Inspiring Education: A Dialogue with Albertans fall forum October 18 to 20 in Edmonton. Registrations for the event, which is a continuation of the spring public engagement initiative led by Alberta Education, are now open.

Alberta Ministers wish Team Canada success at WorldSkills
Doug Horner, Minister of Alberta Advanced Education and Technology, and Dave Hancock, Minister of Education, along with the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC), wished success to the students representing Team Canada at the 40th WorldSkills Competition, at Stampede Park in Calgary.
