Investing in School Infrastructure
A total of $207 million in funding was allocated to Alberta Education for school infrastructure in September 2005. This emergent infrastructure funding was directed to areas that school districts have identified as their highest priorities.
Investments in Francophone School Projects
Francophone students in Grande Prairie, Edmonton and Airdrie will soon have schools to call their own through a $5.5 million government investment for three new capital projects.

New Classroom Spaces
Government recently announced 82 new modular classrooms and the relocation of 29 existing portables to areas of highest need throughout the province.
New Schools and/or Modernization Projects
In September 2005, government announced 17 school infrastructure projects in 14 communities across the province:
