Below you will find links to scholarships for Alberta K-12 students and teachers seeking to internationalize their education or teaching experience.
Students
T. Mikuriya Award – To provide financial assistance to Alberta high school students who have been accepted into an existing exchange program with a Japanese school.
Grant MacEwan World Colleges Scholarship – To reward Alberta's best Grade 11 students with a chance to complete their high school at one of the twelve United World Colleges located throughout the world.
Lee Global Education Awards – To provide financial assistance for young Albertans to engage in experiential international education activities.
Teachers
Language Teacher Bursary Award – To assist certificated Alberta teachers in completing a post-secondary summer program in a language other than English or language pedagogy course at an institution outside of Canada.
Spanish Language Study Scholarship – To enable Alberta Spanish language teachers to participate in professional and language development courses at universities in Spain.
Projects
Inclusive Learning Communities Grants – To fund innovative, inclusive learning projects, including projects centred on intercultural communication or peace and human rights.
Helen Tkachenko Global Education Fund – To support global education projects and resource development (note: this is a project grant within the ATA’s Educational Trust program).
