Exchange Programs

Under the umbrella of Alberta’s existing international education relationships and agreements, the Alberta Teachers’ Association now administers Alberta’s International Education Exchange Programs for students and teachers on behalf of the ministry.  The collaborative partnership with the Alberta Teachers’ Association will help expand these opportunities for students and teachers across the province.  

Through exchange programs, educators gain opportunities to share the strengths and best practices of each other’s education systems, and provide their partner’s students with unique cultural perspectives.  Exchange students build knowledge of each other’s country, people, culture, and language, and acquire the global awareness and skills so important to living and working successfully in the 21st Century.
