Aboriginal Studies 10-20-30 Program of Studies, 2002
The focal point of Aboriginal Studies 10-20-30 is the wealth and diversity of Aboriginal languages and cultures. It is intended to provide a conceptual framework for all learners to enhance understanding of the diverse Aboriginal cultures within their region, Canada and the world. A Handbook for Aboriginal Parents of Children with Special Needs, 2000
This handbook provides information about parent rights, roles and responsibilities for family members, tips for parents, problem solving and dispute resolution, names of First Nations' support groups, special education funding frameworks, and Alberta Education requirements for special education.

This 24-minute video accompanies A Handbook for Aboriginal Parents of Children with Special Needs. The video highlights intergenerational stories from members of the Aboriginal community.

The Common Curriculum Framework for International Languages, Kindergarten to Grade 12, 2001 
The Framework is intended to be used for languages other than English, French and Aboriginal languages. It was developed through the cooperative efforts of the provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan in accordance with the Western Canadian Protocol for Collaboration in Basic Education. The document includes the rationale, assumptions, general principles of language learning, conceptual model, organization, general and specific outcomes, and appendices.

First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education Policy Framework, February 2002 
The Native Education Policy Review is part of the department's commitment to enhance educational opportunities for Aboriginal learners in the province. This document contains information on the policy framework, strategies, performance measures, monitoring and reporting of results.

First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education Policy Framework: A Progress Report, May 2003 
In 2002, the department released the First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) Education Policy Framework. The purpose of this report is to communicate the current work of the department toward improving Aboriginal learner success. The summary is not exhaustive but highlights some of the Ministerial initiatives that are being undertaken.

Teaching Native Languages in High School, Teacher Resource Manual (Grades 9-12), 1993
This manual includes activities and resources for the Aboriginal high school classroom. It also includes information about planning, pedagogical principles and evaluation.
