Our websites and applications are important tools for many Albertans. It is our goal as a Ministry to ensure our websites and applications are accessible and stable, and to provide access to the widest possible audience. We update our sites and apps to work with the tools and systems that the majority of our users have.

Our standard is to make sure our websites and applications work on these browsers and operating systems:

• Internet Explorer (on Windows)
• Chrome (on Windows, OS X, Chrome OS and Android)
• Firefox (on Windows and OS X)
• Safari (on OS X and iOS)

For these browsers and operating systems, we work to ensure our websites and applications work in the current version and the version prior to current.

Browser Security Standards Update

As of June 30, 2018, Alberta Education will no longer allow Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0 or TLS 1.1 encryption protocol. We are doing this to protect the privacy of information passing between your web browser and our servers. If your web browser does not meet this security requirement, please upgrade your browser to a version that supports TLS 1.2 in order to continue to access Alberta Education's online services.

• We do ongoing browser and operating system compatibility upgrades.
