Accountability Pillar measures are combined into seven categories. Each category consists of measures evaluated both individually and as a group on:
An overall evaluation for each measure and each category is the combination of both the achievement and improvement results.
Taken together, this information shows how well each school authority is doing in achieving outcomes. It also shows which areas need more work. School authorities can compare provincial standards to their own previous performance.
School jurisdictions get new results and evaluations from Alberta Education twice each year. In May, they get survey measures and measures derived from information in Ministry data systems. In October, they get the latest provincial achievement test and diploma examination results.
