Alberta Education Business Plans
Alberta Education’s business plan provides an overview of the outcomes for the ministry and the key strategies to be completed to achieve those outcomes.
The business plan aligns with the strategic direction of the Government of Alberta.
Most Recent Business Plan
The 2018-21 business plan provides high-level direction for Alberta Education activities. Contained in the plan are the key strategies that will be pursued in the coming three years, performance measures to gauge progress, and a financial statement of operations.
The 2018-21 Business Plan champions Alberta’s high quality Kindergarten to Grade 12 education system. It outlines how the department commits to working closely with its stakeholders to deliver a revised curriculum and assessments that reflects the contributions and experiences of all Albertans, including First Nations, Métis, Inuit, and Francophone populations.
Alberta Education encourages school authorities to use the 2018-21 Business Plan to focus priorities in their respective plans. The education system can succeed in achieving all its targets through coordinated efforts of all partners.
