They provide examples of how students can demonstrate their understanding of the CTF learning outcomes in context with various career pathways. An exemplar can be used as is, or modified to meet specific student needs.
There are three different types of challenges:
- The Idea Generator: A basic plan that includes a description, a scenario, occupational areas and grade level addressed, skills explored, safety and environmental concerns, and interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- The Abridged Challenge: Consists of the idea generator components plus CTF learning outcomes, equipment, possible interdisciplinary connections, resources and a challenge plan at a glance.
- The Detailed Challenge (Coming Soon): Consists of the abridged challenge components plus program supports, individual lesson plans and how competencies, literacy and numeracy can be addressed through the challenge.
The use of the CTF Challenges are not mandatory for program delivery. The decision to use and/or modify the challenges is at the discretion of the teacher and the principal in alignment with policies set by their school authority.
