Alberta Education will use input gathered from Albertans to inform the development of new curriculum, along with the analysis of our current curriculum, research, other national and international education systems, and prior work with our stakeholders.
Albertans were encouraged to have their say and to take the online provincial curriculum survey that was posted from October 18 to November 18, 2016.
This survey is now closed and we want to thank everyone who provided feedback. A summary of feedback received by Albertans will be posted in early 2017.
Alberta Education will use this input gathered from Albertans to inform the development of future K–12 provincial curriculum content, along with the analysis of our current curriculum, a review of research and other national and international education systems, as well as prior work with our stakeholders.
This survey was the first of many opportunities that Albertans will have to provide input and feedback to help inform the development of future Kindergarten to Grade 12 (K–12) provincial curriculum in Language Arts (English, French, Français), Mathematics, Social Studies, Sciences, Arts and Wellness Education.
Information on additional opportunities to be involved will be posted as information becomes available.
Alberta Education also welcomes Alberta non-profit organizations to submit applications to participate in various stages of the development of new K-12 curriculum in the subjects of: Mathematics, English Language Arts, French Language Arts, Français, Social Studies, Sciences, Wellness Education, and Arts Education.
