English as an Additional Language (EAL) programming is available for students from pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. EAL programming and instruction helps students build the English proficiency needed to be successful in subject-area learning where English is the language of instruction and to participate fully in their education.
The goal of EAL programming and instruction is to provide students with the appropriate support so they may become fluent in English to achieve the expected K-12 curricular learning outcomes and reach their full potential. EAL programming is funded by Alberta Education for both Canadian-born and foreign-born students.
