The Think Globally Art Contest is a great opportunity for Alberta students in Kindergarten to Grade 12 to reflect on Alberta’s international partnerships and Canada’s participation in the upcoming 2018 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. Students are encouraged to submit artwork that illustrates their interpretation of the following theme:
What does Alberta’s Olympic and Paralympic spirit mean to you?
The art contest will help engage students in this year’s IEW celebrations, which take place during the third week of November. IEW aims to highlight international education and its benefits to society. International education helps students acquire the essential intercultural knowledge, skills and awareness that is vital in an increasingly interconnected world.
One winner and one honourable mention will be selected from the following five grade categories:
Top selected artwork will be displayed in the Alberta Legislature Building. Student artwork may also be presented as gifts to visiting foreign delegations by the Government of Alberta.

All artwork entries and accompanying paperwork must be received at the following address by 4:30 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2017 to be considered. Any entries arriving after this time will not be considered.
