| Lap 
              Sit - Outcome C (4-6)-5&6 This activity can be run in a smaller activity 
              space or a classroom. You may want to start with smaller groups 
              and work towards a big lap sit with the whole class. Students form a circle and stand shoulder to shoulder. 
              Explain that each student is going to be sitting on the lap of the 
              student behind them and that this activity requires a great deal 
              of trust, communication and teamwork. Have the students all turn in the same direction 
              and take a step towards the middle of the circle so that everyone 
              is standing closely one behind the other. The formation should still 
              be a circle with everyone's right or left shoulder facing the middle, 
              depending on the direction the students turned. Minor adjustments 
              may have to occur to ensure that there are no gaps between students. Tell the students to keep their backs straight 
              and to try not to lean as they go down. On the count of three, students 
              slowly and carefully lower their buttocks and sit gently on the 
              student behind them. Hold it for a few seconds if possible, and 
              tell them to get up as a group on the count of three.  Practice it a number of times and then try it 
              with a larger group. If they really want a challenge, they can try 
              walking a couple of baby steps once they are sitting.  
 Run 
              the Gauntlet
  Two 
              lines of people facing each other hands/arms out in front of them. 
              Only the hands overlap (see diagram). Participant runs toward the 
              gauntlet. Just as they come to each person, quickly bring down hands/arms.

 Students 
              wait until everyone in the group is ready and the prompts have been 
              given.
 Students communicate with the teacher and 
              each other if they are not ready or if they have any questions. Once in the lap sit, students encourage 
              each other to try to hold it.
