Activity/Teaching Strategies
   Human Obstacle Course
- Students in small groups make obstacles using their joined bodies. The obstacles should be spread throughout the gym. The remaining players in groups and holding hands, attempt to negotiate the obstacles witout touching any obstacle
Moving Body Parts
- Students in groups of 3 move thoughout the play space starting and stopping with music. While moving together, the group attempts to follow challanges provided by the teacher
- 3 feet touching the ground with hands on ankles
- 5 body parts on the ground
- Some body parts at medium level and some at a low level
- All players on their side and connected to each other
- all players making a round low shape
- lots of noise without using feet of mouths
- all backs touching and very fast
- body parts being used so the group looks like a spider
-After players successfully accomplish a specified number of challanges, try increasing the number of players in each group. Introduce various pieces of equiptment for use in accomplishing a challange. For example, players, without use of hands, hold a rope and move in a curvy pathway. Vary the distance and pathway groups must travel to be successful. Ask students to create new challanges.
Under the Rope
- Students must work in groups to have all players pass under a suspended rope and hold a suspended rope without the use of hands. None of the students are allowed to touch the rope with their hands. Students rotate positions so all recieve a turn holding and moving under the rope.
- Try limiting use of other body parts (feet) or combinations of body parts (right hand, left elbow, and both feet) to vary the activity. Have students use a shorter rope or work in smaller or larger groups. Systematically rotate students through various groups.

Assessment Strategies
   - Scan while the children are involved in the activity and count how many are performing the specified skills correctly
- Have the children describe in their journal the challanges of cooperative tasks and how they can work productively in groups.
