SKILL DEVELOPMENT: (2 x 12 minutes)
FRONT FIVE SCRUM (Station 1)
- partners practice body position for lock/binding
- binding of front row (loose/tight head props and hooker)
- binding of second row to front row
- start with little resistance and increase
LATERAL PASSING AND RECEIVING (Station 2)
- stationary passing and receiving
- passing and receiving while running
- passing while reading and reacting to opposition
GAME (15 minutes)
- Across field
- 2 games, 4 teams
- boys vs. boys & girls vs. girls
- fouls result in scrum
- teachers will referee
COOL DOWN/DEBRIEFING (5 minutes)
- stretch and review game
