Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs) are administered to students in grades 6 and 9.

In grades 6 and 9, Provincial Achievement Tests are administered in May and June annually in English and Français/French language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Some grade 9 students write PATs in January of each year.
Grade 9 achievement tests based on the Knowledge and Employability programs of study in English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies are also administered.
French versions of all mathematics, science, and social studies achievement tests are available for students in Francophone and French immersion programs.
