At times like these, we are all responsible for providing students with the educational supports they deserve.
We are incredibly grateful to the Alberta school authorities who are welcoming displaced students from the Fort McMurray wildfires.
It’s important to note, however, that there will be some challenges accessing student records over the short term.
The four affected school authorities will have limited access to ECS to Grade 9 student files and records, and they will be able to access high school courses and marks submitted in PASI up to the first term. Second term high school marks are anticipated to be available by the end of June.
School authorities receiving students can use PASIprep or the local SIS system to obtain student personal and historical enrolment information.
We encourage school authorities receiving students to work directly with parents and students to assess individual development and readiness to proceed with appropriate educational programming.
We truly value your ongoing cooperation as we all work together to ensure stability for our students during this difficult time.
