Snowshoe
Topper Tag (This is best played on a snowy winter day!)-
Outcome A (K-3)-7
Each child should put on a pair of snowshoes out
in the schoolyard.
One person is designated as "it" and
places their hand on top of their head. As others are tagged, they
too must put a hand on top of their head. Play until all the children
are tagged.
Snowshoe Balloon Stomp
Tie a balloon on a string to the back of each
snowshoe. Students attempt to stomp on a balloon with their snowshoe,
while avoiding having their own balloon stomped.
Any game can be altered by playing it on snowshoes!
Ask the students to create a game using the snowshoes, the snow,
and a piece of equipment of their choice.
If you
have double classes or not enough snowshoes, this game works just
as well with each child wearing only one snowshoe.
These
are clues that you have reached the outcomes ...
Students write a journal about what they learned
in an activity in an alternative environment.
