Scooter Switch Tag - Outcome C (K-3)-5

Instruct all the students to get a scooter board. They should sit beside their scooters in a personal space away from other students and away from walls. The children must only travel on their scooters on their stomachs or while seated. Notice the colours of the scooters. If there are only two colours, choose one colour to be "it".

How to Play

  • On the teacher's signal to begin, the children start moving.
  • Those who are on a specified colour (e.g., yellow) are "it".
  • When they touch someone not on a yellow scooter, the two participants switch scooters and whoever is now on the yellow scooter is "it".
  • Children can be tagged at any time, even during a switch.
  • This game is never-ending and all the children are active throughout.

These are clues that you have reached the outcomes ...

All children are actively participating alongside others. Use a class list to check off the names of students who willingly participate.
